From Gym-Shy Student to AI Home-Training Enthusiast!

Review Summary by Jeong O

1. Background

  • Natural-born overweight student; lost 25kg through a strict diet because the stares at the gym were too burdensome.

  • However, home workouts alone left me with knee and back pain due to unclear posture, and I had a great thirst for "exercise that fits me."

2. Product (Hardware) Satisfaction: ★★★★★

  • Delicate Consideration: 4-in-1 cable to charge four devices at once, easy distinction between left and right with LED lights (Blue/Green).

  • Ease of Use: C-type charging, intuitive button operation, and large labels for attachment points.

  • High-Quality Materials: Premium Velcro that doesn't irritate the skin and a practical dedicated bag that is spacious enough for workout clothes.

3. Application (Software) Satisfaction: ★★★★★

  • Accurate AI Coaching: A "strict teacher" who doesn't count if you do it sloppily. It helped me find the "exact stimulation points" I never knew while just watching videos (effective enough to make sweat drip).

  • Data Management: Daily/weekly/monthly statistics, tracking graphs, and increased motivation through the leaderboard.

  • Optimization: Frequent updates, fast feedback reflection, and stability without errors even in tablet multi-window mode.

4. Cons and Suggestions

  • Strict Counting: Sometimes it's hard because it doesn't count if the posture is even slightly off.

  • Custom Function: Hope for a feature to separately save favorite exercises or routines to create my own program.

  • Community: It would be great to have a communication space or routine sharing among users within the app.

5. One-line Review

"A reliable mate for the weight loss journey! An innovative solution for those who are afraid of stares at the gym or feel anxious about their solo workout posture."

Full Review by Jeong O

I was happy to be selected for the TrackMe tester group, and as a latecomer, I am sincerely and deeply sorry. Nevertheless, I am leaving this review as a real user with complete honesty.

I am a student who has never belonged to the "slim" category since birth.

I once ambitiously signed up for a 3-month gym membership, but it was incredibly embarrassing and psychologically daunting to walk around with a fat body in a place full of slim, pretty, and cool people. Even though I joined the gym to lose weight and get healthy, the curious stares I received from people when I touched the equipment, and the looks at my overweight body when I took off my clothes in the communal shower, were both unpleasant and shameful.

Since then, I looked into home workouts on YouTube and followed them whenever I had time. However, even when following videos with millions of views, I hit a limit, wondering if I was doing it right or how to fix my posture when my knees hurt from the pressure.

I have since lost about 25kg, but since 90–95% of that was through diet, I still experience pain in my knees, back, and pelvis when following home workout videos. This made me feel upset and depressed, wondering if I should quit home workouts, if they just don't suit me at all, or if I wouldn't be able to look pretty before entering university.

Therefore, I was full of desire to build strength through proper exercise and create a slim yet firm body with established muscle and core.

Then, I saw TrackMe in an "upcoming project" and felt both curiosity and doubt about the idea that AI helps you exercise just by wearing sensors on your joints. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations until the moment TrackMe arrived and I wore it to experience it for myself. After actually using it, here is what I felt:

Pros

First of all, it is fundamentally so amazing. I can feel that this is not a product just thrown together. Every single detail, even the smallest ones, considers the user's convenience.

☑️ Product

  • 4-in-1 Type-C Charging Cable: Considering there are 4 attachment devices, they provided a cable that can charge all 4 at once.

  • Ease of Device Use: One Type-C charging hole, one button—just press and hold. Bluetooth connection is really easy (just hold the button after charging) and fast. The back of the devices are marked with elbow/knee and left/right (large text for clear distinction).

  • Visual Distinction: By making the light for the left line blue and the right line green, it’s easy to distinguish them when wearing the guards with the devices attached.

  • Guard Length: Different lengths for the guards make it easy to tell the difference between arms and legs.

  • Comfort: Soft cushioning in every guard and a smooth bias finish.

  • Fixing Buckle (Velcro): High-quality Velcro is used, so it's not irritating when it touches the skin, and while it's easy to attach/detach, the holding power is strong.

  • Included TrackMe Bag: Such thoughtfulness to save me from worrying about storage. The bag material considers the possibility of contamination from sweat, includes a front pocket with a zipper, and has a trendy yet practical design that looks a bit rugged. It has enough capacity to hold workout clothes in addition to the guards and devices.

☑️ App

  • Fast Feedback: The feedback and implementation are so concise and fast that I feel the time I spent worrying alone was a waste.

  • Constant Updates: It was updated as recently as the 26th (fixing sign-up errors, custom workout errors, etc.).

  • Content: 240 types of exercise method videos and content.

  • AI (ChatGPT-4o) Counting and Form Measurement: If you do it sloppily or if your posture is incorrect, it won't be reflected in the workout record.

  • Useful Functions: Time limit, pause, and stop functions are more useful than I expected.

  • AI (ChatGPT-4o) Analysis and Recommendations: Based on a sense of wonder, it provides surprising practical help.

  • Accumulated Data: Daily/weekly/monthly statistics, total workout time, calories burned, counts, etc.

  • Tracking Graphs.

  • Motivation: Increased motivation through the leaderboard.

  • Compatibility: As a Galaxy Tab Ultra user, I often use split-screen and multi-window functions, and I didn't see the errors that usually appear in other apps when opened in dual windows.

  • Incredible Workout Effect: I did the exact same exercises I used to do, and while it didn't seem like there was a big difference, the intensity and the spots being stimulated were different. I was shocked to feel stimulation in the exact spots where home workout videos said "you should feel it here" (but I never had before). Sweat was dripping.

Cons

  • Strict Counting: I wish it would count even if the posture was "mostly" there, but no chance.

  • Customization: When following a recommended program, if I like a certain routine or exercise, I want to save it separately to create my own workout program, but it doesn't seem to exist yet (it's highly likely I just haven't found it because I'm bad with technology).

TrackMe App Tips

  • ! When signing up via email, you answer a pre-survey for a personalized program. You must complete the responses in the photo "to the very end" for the sign-up to be finalized for that email! If you only create an ID and password but don't finish the survey, the account won't be fully registered. If you created an ID/password but can't log in? It's probably because the sign-up itself isn't complete. (It's not a huge deal, but it's something I realized after struggling for a few days and inquiring.)

  • ! Also, everything, including workouts, must be completed to the end to be counted!

Thank you for being a mate on my weight loss journey! *. + \ (○·▽·○)ノ" +.° *

Desired Features

  • Similar to the "Cons," a feature to save specific routines or exercises from a recommended program to create a custom workout program.

  • Ability to freely change the order, create infinite routines, and share them between TrackMe users.

  • An in-app community for TrackMe users. (Of course, as I said before, it's highly likely I just haven't found these because I'm bad with tech.)
